Clients arrive at Livingstone International preferably before 12h00 midday. From here we proceed with the road transfer to Iteshi teshi. Part of this transfer takes us through the South Kafue National park. The clients normally enjoy this part, as we often come across wildlife on the route. Elephant, wildebeest and a lot more fairly common wildlife.

Days 1,2 and 3

We start at sunrise after a breakfast. Breakfast on all these days commonly include bacon, eggs, toast, fruit, cereal and the usual breakfast you guys are used too. Normally no bagels and donuts. Most importantly we have coffee first.

Depending on the clients and how the fishing is going a lunch pack will be provided for the boat. Should the clients wish to go back for lunch to the camp it is very easy to arrange.

We will end the days fishing just before sunset. Return to camp and after a welcome shower have dinner with some drinks around a fire. The dinners are commonly steak, fish and the usual. None of which the clients have to hunt or kill themselves.

Day 4

We depart at 06h00 for the road transfer to Sioma Falls. Fairly straight forward road taking us via Mongu south toward Sioma.

Day 5, 6 and 7

Except for the fact that we are now camping and targeting Tiger fish, the days are fairly similar to the previous part of the trip. We don’t have to travel long distances on the boat around here, which means going back to camp for lunch.

Day 8

We depart at 6h00 for the road transfer back to Livingstone.

DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT INFORMATION
The following applies to all trips booked and organized by Fishhippie Expeditions. Please read these terms and conditions carefully, as all terms are binding once a trip is booked. Receipt of deposit and/or final payment is acknowledgment that registrant has read and accepts the deposit, cancellation, refund and responsibility clauses.

  • A 50% deposit per angler of the total package cost for each trip is due to Fishhippie Expeditions within 10 days of booking to secure the trip reservation. In many cases (depending on the destination being booked) deposits are non-refundable.
  • Fishhippie Expeditions reserves the right to charge a handling fee of $100.00 per person for any changes after the initial reservation has been made.
  • Full payment for all Fishhippie Expeditions trips is due 90 days prior to departure and start of trip.
  • Fishhippie Expeditions general terms and conditions are superseded by those of the individual lodges and outfitters that we work with and represent. In instances where Fishhippie Expeditions general payment and cancellation terms are different from those of individual lodges and operations, the terms of the lodge/outfitter will take precedent and become the terms and conditions of related trip packages.
  • When a trip is invoiced at a double occupancy, per person rate, the final invoice amount will be changed to a single occupancy / single supplement rate in all instances where an invoiced double occupancy rate based on an even number of anglers is changed to a single angler situation or odd number (in the case of two or more anglers traveling together or with group travel. Odd numbers of anglers will necessitate a single angler / single supplement fee if changes to a reservation or made or if numbers change from an even number of anglers to an odd number.

TRIP INSURANCE – HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Because many deposits and final payments for trip packages are non-refundable, it is highly recommended that you purchase trip insurance in the event that you have to cancel, postpone or reschedule your trip for any reason. Please be aware that this is the only way that Fishhippie Expeditions can assist you with compensation for a cancelled trip. For more information or for assistance in purchasing trip insurance, please contact Fishhippie Expeditions or visit the section on this webpage about Travel Insurance.

Make sure you’re covered by the premier crisis response provider before you travel. Global Rescue is our preferred provider of medical & security advisory and evacuation services. Any time you have an illness or injury requiring hospitalization or face imminent bodily harm more than 100 miles from home, an emergency evacuation coverage will reach you, stabilize you and bring you home, by whatever means necessary.
