It's Time to Start giving back
Our mission is to help improve the fisheries and lives of the people and cultures we encounter throughout the world on our expeditions
regenerative fly fishing expeditions
What is a Regenerative Fly Fishing Expedition?
Sustainability is the practice to maintain the qualities that are valued in the physical environment at a certain rate or level. Our vision is to exceed and go beyond that level though regeneration within local communities by assisting them through cultivation and raising awareness through media and film of new projects and practices by utilizing fly fishing expeditions as the tool for implementation and have a positive impact on local indigenous peoples lives as well as those who travel with us.
Hands On Involvement
By joining us on one of our expeditions you will have a direct impact on helping improve the lives surrounding the local communities and watersheds. Fishhippie Expeditions and Pigfarm Ink are taking a proactive role in conservation and humanitarian projects in each of our locations we travel. From helping create clean water sources for communities, planning land based aquaponic farms, native fish stocking programs and eco zone environmental protection.
the projects
Native Fish Restocking Program - Indonesia
Assistance through funding and awareness
Regenerative Environmental restocking program and to raise awareness for one of the worlds few last remaining old dark untouched jungles that is under fire by extraction and development. Borneo will is the last untouched large scale jungle in the world. This fight could be our last to preserve a wild un-extracted world.
(Borneo is one of the most important centers of biodiversity in the world)
Aquaponic Farming Project - Zambia
Project research and implementation
Systemic poverty and decades of desperation has changed the landscape of one of the worlds greatest Rivers. The mighty Zambezi cannot get a break. The people of the area fair no better and malnutrition and lack of protein sets a stage for another human starvation event that has been a calling card for the dark continent. Our goal is to start regenerative fish farms and aquaponics programs across the area with a fishing tourism program. This is a venue where fly fishing will save lives and help bring the mighty Zambezi back to its wonder and glory
Clean Water Project - Peru
Water filtration for local communities
One of the villages nearby Treehouse Lodge faces very difficult conditions each year when the river rises. The water often rises 30 feet before it begins to recede. During this wet period there is no dry ground for the villagers to live on. In bad years, the water even raises high enough to flood their stilted homes. As a result, they are forced to live out of canoes and abandon their home until the water recedes. Given these treacherous conditions, the villagers have no other option but to relocate across the river to higher ground. We would like to help them in their efforts by creating a clean water system for their newly established village
Protecting Eco Systems - Guyana
Assisting indigenous communities
The people of Rewa village in their recent history wanted their children’s children to be able to live among and witness the largest scaled fish in South Americas vast fresh water systems. The waters of the amazon basin has been long gasping for air and the food source that is critically endangered Arapaima represents life sustaining protein zones for marginalized and remote people. Indifly and the Rewa village have found a regenerative way to bring an economy to a rare people that made sacrifice in trying times to conserve one of last epic strongholds of this legendary animal. Our expedition in this deep jungle helps bring jobs and opportunities to the people and the futures of one of the last unspoiled places on earth and allow them to continue to be the stewards and protectors of this rare and endangered ecosystem
